Evan Golightly

Evan is a Shareholder Attorney for Eagle & Fein, P.C. Evan’s practice includes assisting as corporate counsel for various businesses, as well as business succession planning, executive compensation, ESOPs, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, business formation and planning, employee benefits, ERISA, and all types of transactional work. Evan is devoted to helping clients achieve their business goals and establish plans for growth and success.

Evan obtained his Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and English Rhetoric and Writing from Ball State University. While at Ball State, Evan was a member of the Ball State Honors College, participated in leadership roles in various student organizations, and eventually graduated Summa Cum Laude.

From Ball State, Evan embarked on his journey to becoming an attorney by being admitted to law school at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law on a full-ride merit-based scholarship. At McKinney, Evan was a member of the renowned legal honors society Phi Delta Phi and held leadership roles in other student organizations. Evan became a legal writing tutor for first year law students at McKinney after he became a member of the Dean’s Tutorial Society. Evan was also a member of the Indiana Health Law Review where his student article was published, and Evan went on to serve on the board as the Executive Notes Editor where he was tasked with analyzing student note submissions and providing constructive feedback as students developed their topics. He graduated from McKinney School of Law and promptly joined the Eagle & Fein team following the Bar Exam.

Evan is passionate about developing his relationships with clients so that he can provide outstanding legal support that is catered directly to a client’s specific needs. Evan prioritizes responsiveness with all his clients as he understands that time is valuable and prompt communication is a great catalyst for efficiency and clarity.

Evan resides in Lawrence with his wife, Mindy, and daughters, Ellie and Bridget. Evan is an avid tennis player, golfer, and enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and long talks with friends.
