13 Mar Inaugural Talk to End Alzheimer’s
INDIANAPOLIS – Eagle & Fein, P.C. presented the inaugural Talk to End Alzheimer’s on Thursday, February 21, 2019.The event featured a presentation by Julie Moore, Director of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and discussion with Mike Langdon.
The evening focused on sharing a message of hope for those living with Alzheimer’s, their loved ones providing care and anyone who has had their life touched by Alzheimer’s or dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association has a multitude of resources and tools that aid in the understanding of life and care-giving of persons with Alzheimer’s or dementia. The Greater Indiana chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association hosts in-person support groups and educational programs weekly.
“It is a privilege to nurture our relationship with the local community,” expressed Julie Moore of the Alzheimer’s Association. “This event provided a vehicle to continue to engage with a community that has an intimate connection to Alzheimer’s. It is vital that we enhance the awareness of programs offered here locally by the Greater Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Our mission is to provide support for those who have Alzheimer’s or affiliated dementia diagnoses and their caregivers alike.”
Mike Langdon, a close friend of Eagle & Fein, P.C., discussed how receiving the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s in early 2018 has affected him and provided new opportunities in his life. He is on a quest to share a message of hope that a cure will be found through the unyielding efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association and that this diagnosis does not define those living with Alzheimer’s or their caregivers. “Mike is inspiring in his pursuit of finding the joys in life,” stated Brian Eagle, principal attorney of Eagle & Fein, P.C. “It is a blessing to share in his mission. If we are able to help spread awareness, continue the dialogue or aid those on this journey to reach out and find help at the (Alzheimer’s) Association, then nothing could be more meaningful.”
Walter E. Justus, the manager of Justus at Woodland Terrace, LLC, opened the event by welcoming attendees and expressing his dedication to improve the quality of life of residence in memory care facilities.
