Joe Kelley Inducted to the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame

Congratulations to the Kelley family for Joe Kelley’s recent induction into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame.

On February 20, 2016, Coach Kelley was posthumously inducted into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame at this year’s Indiana Soccer Awards Gala. The Hall of Fame celebrates those who had outstanding contributions to soccer in Indiana. Coach Kelley was a longtime friend and mentor of attorney, Brian A. Eagle. Brian served under Joe as the student manager of IU soccer team from 1983-1985. Prior to his death, Coach Kelley was a client of Eagle and Fein, P.C. and the firm continues to provide for his family today.

Coach Kelley’s award was accepted by his son, Josh Kelley.

Coach Kelley’s outstanding contributions to the game of soccer include:

Player on the IU Men’s Soccer Team 1975

Player on Indy Daredevils ASL Team 1979

Assistant Coach of the IU Men’s Soccer Team – 14 years

Coach of IU Women’s Soccer club team and Staff Administrator

Won Women’s Big 10 Championship 1996

Coached 51 Academic All Big 10 Athletes

Volunteer Coach for Girls ODP Program

Coach for Carmel United Cosmos 4 years

Coached Monroe County Youth Soccer Teams

Held a US Soccer “A” coaching license

Assistant Coach of Depauw University Women’s Soccer Team
